Character Counts
Following the first, second, and third quarters the AMS school counselors coordinate an AMS Character Counts Celebrations. Please check your student's agenda book for the specific dates.
Students who are honored through the Character Counts Celebrations demonstrate the following attributes:
Punctuality - He or she is on time for school, present each day of school, and stay for the entire school day. The only exception is that a student has a very good reason for being elsewhere. The absence must be excused.
Respectfulness - He or she treats others with respect. This includes peers, faculty and staff.
Good Work Habits - He or she does all assigned work to the best of his or her ability each and every day. All assignments (classwork, homework, and special projects) are completed and turned in on time.
PLEASE NOTE: Due to the many students that participate in these events, we are not able to include parents. However, as a parent you may sign up to volunteer to serve at one of these events through the PTSA.
